Todd
Wilkinson adds both his professional and college coaching experience
as a contributing writer for developing the youth baseball swing.
After an illustrious college career at the University of North Carolina,
Todd was voted All-ACC in 1984. After playing in the Montreal Expos
Organization, Todd returned to UNC where he served as hitting instructor
in 1986. Todd took the head coaching position at Barton College from
1988-1995, where he received CIAC Coach of the Year honors in 1990,
1993, and District 26 Coach of the Year in 1993. During this time,
Todd became “the hitting guru” for the Snow Hill Hitting Camps, the
largest series of traveling hitting camps in North Carolina.
Todd
became hitting instructor at University of North Carolina at Wilmington
from 1995-1998. From 1998 to 2000, Todd was assistant director
of the North Carolina Baseball Academy and was the lead hitting instructor. He is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Barton College in Wilson, NC. He is known for his ability to relate to
hitters and methodically develop the baseball swing. Todd spoke on "Hitting Mechanics" at this past American Baseball Coaches
Association (ABCA) National Convention in Chicago, IL.
